MyFax Application is on the interface server

Should be checked daily or as directed by supervisor

  • Confirm that MyFax application is running, and faxes are going through 
  • Each user oversees making sure their faxes are faxed successfully in NextGen in Fax Status 

 

Users / Departments currently using MyFax 

  • Referral Coordinators
  • HIMs Department 

 

If a user needs fax to be resent fax can be resent in MyFax Central (IT only has access to this) 

  • The user needs to inform you of the dated fax was sent 
  • Name of patient and facility fax was sent to
  • Log into MyFax Central 

 

MyFax status if fax fails 

  • Pending - Check if communication services or server is up and going. (review this process with IT director)
  • Other failed status see attached documents to see what the error was and inform user if they will need to refax or not if fax can be resent in MyFax resend it 

 

Re-sending fax through MyFax 

Checkmark fax that needs to be resent > Click reschedule Faxes > Fax will change to a black color and will be sent 

 

How to resend fax out of MyFax Central 

Login to My Fax Central > Sent Faxes > View date of fax until correct fax is found > check mark fax you want to resend > Resend fax
